This coffee has a completely different flavor from Arabica beans. I recognized it as a different coffee from anything I've ever drunk before. It has a strong bitterness. is spicy. and has a unique sweetness. chocolate. and nutty notes. with a distinctively strong aftertaste. The acidity is low. and there is no fruitiness. At medium roast. the balance of flavor and bitterness of the Liberica variety is good. and you can enjoy a moderate richness and aroma. At medium-dark roast. the bitterness. smoky aroma. richness. and sweetness stand out. Recommended for those who like a strong bitterness. It also pairs well with milk and is delicious as a café au lait.

<About the Beans>
Liberica is one of the three original coffee species. along with Arabica and Robusta. However. it is a rare bean with low consumption. accounting for less than 1% of the world's total coffee supply. My Liberica Farm is said to be the only farm in the world that has succeeded in raising Liberica to specialty quality. Specialty-quality Liberica green beans have never been distributed in Japan before. making this a first in the country.

While not very familiar in Japan. it is cultivated in the Philippines and Malaysia. It is characterized by its large size. strong aroma. and low acidity. Because it has a low caffeine content. this variety is easy to drink even for those sensitive to caffeine.
