This coffee boasts a noble jasmine-like aroma reminiscent of the wild flavors of Kaffa. the birthplace of the Geisha variety. The natural processing method brings out the rich sweetness of strawberries and ripe berries. and the elegant flavor is layered with a rich body reminiscent of red wine.

While it meets the standards of specialty coffee. it lacks the distinctive character and cleanliness of top-lot Geisha varieties. However. compared to top-class G1 coffees (such as Panama Esmeralda). this G3 from Jinab Farm is more appealing for its "wild. powerful character and concentrated fruitiness" rather than its "refined transparency."

The Kaffa region in southwestern Ethiopia is considered by some to be the birthplace of coffee. and the Arabic word "qahwah." the origin of the word "coffee." is said to be derived from this place name. This is also the birthplace of the Arabica variety and the mother of all other Arabica coffee trees. It is an extremely valuable region where coffee trees. neither cultivated nor maintained. still grow wild in the middle of deep natural forests at an altitude of 1400 to 2100 meters above sea level. In Ethiopia. it's common for coffee cherries from numerous small farmers to be brought to surrounding washing stations. However. Mr. Jinab's coffee is cultivated and harvested on his own farm. and then processed at his own washing station. Therefore. it boasts high quality and performance from start to finish. The taste is remarkably well-balanced. combining ample mocha flavor. the sweetness of ripe fruit. and a clean finish that expresses excellent texture.
