<About the Beans>
Tanzania is located in East Africa. bordering major coffee-producing nations like Kenya and Uganda. It is an agricultural country—with approximately 85% of the population involved in farming—and coffee stands as a vital export product supporting local livelihoods. Distribution is currently managed by the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB). a government agency. The harvest season runs from July to December. It is estimated that roughly 6–7% of Tanzania's population earns a living through coffee cultivation. Most of these growers cultivate coffee on small plots of land—often less than one hectare in size—with each farm tending to between 380 and 2.000 coffee trees. Small-scale farmers like these account for approximately 90% of the total production.
?? Congoni Estate

It yields coffee characterized by the "Tanzanian Mild" profile—a flavor that is gentle yet possesses a distinct. solid core—derived from the traditional Kent variety. Great care is also taken during post-harvest processing to ensure quality; harvested coffee cherries are processed as quickly as possible. and meticulous measures are employed during drying—such as using covers to prevent the parchment from overheating.
