This coffee retains the magnificent fragrance characteristic of the Geisha variety. offering a noble. floral aroma reminiscent of jasmine and bergamot. As it cools. complex layers of flavor emerge. revealing a sweet-and-sour note like marmalade and an elegant. clean quality akin to fine black tea. We recommend a medium roast to achieve the perfect balance between the Geisha variety's floral notes and the rich sweetness derived from the natural processing method. As the coffee cools further. its fruity acidity and full body become even more pronounced.

The "Best of Colombia" auction is a competition organized by the Colombian government. the FNC (National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia). and the ASECC association—a group dedicated to promoting and elevating the status of Colombian specialty coffee. Monte Verde Farm cultivates the Geisha variety. and this specific lot was selected for the "Best of Tolima" showcase.

Geisha (Gesha) Variety
Renowned globally as one of the finest specialty coffee varieties. its greatest appeal lies in an extraordinarily vibrant and floral flavor profile unlike any other coffee. Compared to other Arabica varieties. it is more susceptible to disease and grows quite tall—making maintenance and harvesting difficult—while also yielding a very small harvest per tree.

Monte Verde Farm (Finca Monteverde)
In recent years. this farm has garnered international attention for producing high-quality lots. particularly of the Geisha variety. They are committed to cultivating a range of premium varieties and employing innovative processing methods. A key characteristic is the production of specialty coffee—particularly using the Geisha variety—that showcases the unique terroir through diverse processing methods. resulting in a flavor profile that is floral. complex. and clean.
