This coffee has a balanced flavor typical of Guatemala. with a pleasant bitterness. a citrusy acidity reminiscent of oranges. a strong sweetness. and a deep. rich aftertaste. It is characterized by its large beans. While Maragogipe is sometimes said to have a strong flavor. the Guatemalan variety boasts a rich and aromatic taste.

<Bean Introduction>
Maragogipe is a mutation of Typica and has been cultivated in Central America and Colombia. Its cherries are very large. hence its nickname "Elephant Bean." Maragogipe coffee is highly susceptible to diseases and pests such as coffee rust. resulting in limited availability. However. cultivation continues in the Cobán area. which is known as one of the few regions producing high-quality Maragogipe coffees.
